Sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad! Here is an example of how NOT to do attic ventilation. This roofer placed a ridge vent next to 2 static vents and a wind turbine. Instead of the wind turbine drawing air from the perimeter soffit vents like it should, it just circulates the hot air around and between the ridge and static vents. Since we are replacing this roof in the near future, we are going to seal off the ridge and static vents and just have the wind turbine to actively remove the hot air from the attic.
